#234 NIFTY STATION WAGON.
The Nifty Station Wagon is the very first Little People playset that was sold with a family: Dad, Mom, Baby, and dog. The station wagon itself marks an era in American history where wooden-side station wagons were the "family" car of choice. The station wagon/ a happy smiling face with 2 eyes on the front grill that roll up and down as the toy is pulled. The 2 back seats have a mechanism to make the passenger spin when the toy is pulled. The wooden tailgate can be lowered and the roof is made out of 3 separate pieces of white plastic that allows child to change this station wagon into a convertible (2-convertible top frames as well as the roof).
This set was only made from 1960-62 and it is one of the more difficult sets to find. All of the correct pieces are included and are in clean condition. The station wagon shows some minor wear -> PLEASE look at all of the pictures. The small white plastic convertible top frames
are included and in good condition. The top has a quite nice litho. All of the family are included and they are remarkably good condition. The dog and the child are unique to this set!! If you have been looking for this set in nice condition with minor playwear this may be just what you are looking for!
