Schrempp-Printz Bier ashtray from Karlsruhe, Germany. Schrempp-Printz operated in Karlsruhe beginning in 1933, and the name Printz was dropped from the name of the brewery in 1971 when it merged into Binding Brauerei. The slogan may be loosely translated as "I like it, it's delicious!" There is some crazing, and there are two small fleabites above the "hr" and the last "p" of Schrempp. The ashtray is about 6 1/8" in diameter, and about 1" deep. The symbol of the brewery was the griffon drinking a beer. The firm of Herbert Wittekind of Bodingen/Hessen (founded in 1946) made the ashtray, and they are still in business, The colors are bright, and there are no cracks, breaks, or chips except for the mentioned fleabites.
